(Athens Twp., Mich.) — The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP) led
by Tribal Council Members Homer A. Mandoka, Jamie Stuck, RoAnn Beebe-Mohr, and
Dorie Rios announced today the closing on the $97 million purchase of the Full House Resorts, Inc. (FHR) management contract effective Mar. 30, 2012.
The management agreement between NHBP and FHR was scheduled for completion in Aug. 2016. The early purchase allows NHBP to take over complete management of FireKeepers Casino.

(Athens Twp., Mich.) — The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP) led by Tribal Council members Homer A. Mandoka, Jamie Stuck, RoAnn Beebe-Mohr and Dorie Rios announced today that a tentative buy-out agreement of the FireKeepers Casino management contract has been reached.
Since its Aug. 2009 opening, the $300 million FireKeepers Casino has successfully operated under a management agreement with Full House Resorts. The early buy-out of $97.5 million will be complete on or before May 1, 2012 eliminating the remainder of the agreement scheduled to continue until Aug. of 2016. The transaction is contingent on final approval of the Tribe’s financial package and awaits regulatory consent.
02.10.12 - The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Distribute $17.4 Million to Benefit Local Communities
The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP), owners of FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Mich., announced today that its third payment to the state of Michigan is $12.6 million and its third payment to the FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board (FLRSB) is nearly $5 million. This brings the total amount received by the state of Michigan to $26.2 million and $11.6 million by the FLRSB since FireKeepers Casino opened in Aug. 2009.

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP), owners of FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Mich., celebrated expansion progress today with a topping off ceremony for FireKeepers’ hotel.
FireKeepers’ expansion will showcase a vibrant and upscale 242 room resort-style hotel complete with a stylish indoor pool, exercise facility, full service restaurant seating up to 150 guests, and a functional multi-purpose event center. The topping off ceremony celebrates the hotel reaching its highest vertical point. Since the Mar. 2011 ground breaking ceremony, the project has been on schedule, on budget, and is to open in the fall of 2012.

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP), owners of FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Mich., announced today that its second payment to the state of Michigan is nearly $10 million. A check was presented to the state of Michigan, with State Representative and Speaker of the House Jase Bolger in attendance to accept, for a total of $9,723,511.85. The second payment, representing the amount due for the year 2010, brings the total amount received by the state of Michigan to $13.6 million since FireKeepers Casino opened in Aug. 2009. The funds distributed are pursuant to the negotiated agreement between the NHBP and the state for 2010 operations at the NHBP’s FireKeepers Casino, located in Battle Creek.

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP), owners of FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Mich., announced today that its second payment to the FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board (FLRSB) is nearly $5 million. A check was presented to the FLRSB this morning for $4,861,755.42. The second payment brings the total amount received by the FLRSB to nearly $7 million since FireKeepers Casino opened in Aug. 2009.
